This article is devoted to the study of the biological characteristics of the invasive species Xanthium orientale L. The paper presents experimental data on the specific features of seed germination of this plant and establishes the optimal temperature range for their germination (30-35°C). Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the high ecological plasticity and invasive potential of the species. In addition, the article examines the geographical distribution patterns of Xanthium orientale and its potential economic (cultivated) significance.
