Abstract

This article examines the place of axiology in the system of philosophical knowledge, the ontological and epistemological foundations of the nature of values. The mechanisms of value formation in human life, their connection with social consciousness and culture are analyzed. The issues of the dialectics of national and universal values in the conditions of globalization and their role in personal development are also highlighted.
