Abstract

Why do some extremely intelligent and educated people stop at the career ladder, while those with average academic performance manage large teams and reach great heights? The answer is hidden not only in logical knowledge, as we think, but in emotional intelligence EQ. This article analyzes with scientific and real-life examples that IQ (intelligence quotient) only opens the door to a specialty, while EQ leads us to success in that environment. The author justifies why controlling emotions, making the right decisions in stressful situations, and establishing effective communication with others are superior to dry logic. At the end of the article, practical recommendations are given for developing emotional intelligence and turning it into a tool for personal growth.
