Abstract
This article describes the main purpose of fairs organized in Tashkent in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The activity of the fair in the first was stated its material support, the activity of fairs in later periods, its development, decline and positive influence on fairs as a result of railway penetration into Central Asia.
