Abstract

This article examines the composition of scorpion venom, its use in the field of medicine and in traditional healing practices, as well as its beneficial and harmful effects on human health. Scorpion venom consists of complex proteins, peptides, and enzymes, which have been studied for their impact on the nervous system. In modern medicine, scorpion venom is mainly used in the development of pharmaceutical products, particularly pain-relieving medications, cancer cell research, cardiac rhythm analysis, and studies related to the immune system. Information on these applications is provided in the article. In addition, the harmful effects of scorpion venom such as severe allergic reactions, paralysis of the nervous system, and respiratory dysfunction are also analyzed.
