AIR POLLUTION IN SAMARKAND CITY DURING 1995–2010 AND ITS ANALYSIS

Keywords: This article analyzes the level of air pollution in Samarkand city during the period from 1995 to 2010. Based on monitoring data, the annual variation dynamics of concentrations of suspended particulates, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂), phenol, hydrogen fluoride, and ammonia were examined. The results of the study indicate a decrease in the levels of some pollutants during the given period, while others remained relatively stable. The main sources of atmospheric pollution were identified as industrial activities, transport vehicles, and municipal waste. The article also briefly analyzes the impact of this pollution on public health.
