Abstract
This article explores the key issues related to working with families in Uzbekistan within the framework of current state requirements and legislative policies. It examines the legal foundations, state programs, and institutional responsibilities that guide family support services, as well as the challenges faced by educators, social workers, and policymakers in implementing these directives. The discussion also highlights the socio-cultural characteristics of Uzbek families, the evolving expectations of state-family interaction, and the need for coordinated efforts to strengthen family resilience and child welfare.
