Abstract
Compositional thinking is a cornerstone of artistic creation, enabling students to organize visual elements effectively in drawing. This article explores practical strategies to cultivate compositional thinking in drawing classes, emphasizing hands-on exercises, theoretical understanding, and creative exploration. By integrating structured activities, observational skills, and reflective practices, educators can enhance students’ ability to create balanced, expressive, and meaningful compositions. The study highlights methods such as guided exercises, analysis of masterworks, and experimentation with design principles, supported by qualitative observations from classroom settings.
