Abstract

This study explores the formation patterns of toponymic units in English and Uzbek, analyzing their linguistic, historical, and cultural implications. Through comparative analysis, we identify commonalities and differences in the morphological and semantic structures of place names in both languages. The research highlights the role of historical events, geographic features, and socio-political influences in shaping toponymic units. The findings contribute to the broader field of comparative toponymy and linguistic typology.
