Abstract
Current drugs for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus have different molecular targets and different mechanisms of action. The use of these drugs in the form of monotherapy and combination therapy makes it possible to achieve reliable disease control. However, the rational choice of a pharmacotherapy strategy for type 2 diabetes mellitus is a difficult problem in clinical practice. The article discusses some aspects of this problem.
